Three solid unlacquered brass posts fixed to the ceiling, with brass ball joints and wall arms holding two bays of glass shelves across three tiers. The counter below stays clear. Made to order in our Marrakesh workshop.

Size guide

Step 1: Choose the width for your wall. Pick a shelf a little narrower than the counter or wall space it sits over.

Width Best for
48 in A coffee bar, a bar cabinet, a bathroom wall
60 in A home bar back wall, a kitchen wall
72 in A long bar, a kitchen wall in place of upper cabinets

Step 2: Work out your drop. The posts run from the ceiling, so the drop is the distance from the ceiling to the bottom shelf.

Drop = ceiling height − height of the surface below − clearance

What sits below Clearance we suggest
Kitchen, bar or coffee counter 18 in, the same as upper cabinets
Sink or faucet 24 in

Example: a 9 ft ceiling (108 in) over a 36 in counter gives 108 − 36 − 18 = 54 in of drop.

Step 3: Check that three tiers fit. Our 60 in unit is drawn at 45 in from ceiling to bottom shelf. If your drop comes out under 45 in, which is common with 8 ft ceilings, send us your measurements before you order and we will advise.

Over a vanity: the shelf would sit in front of the mirror. Place it on the wall beside the mirror instead.

After you order

Reply to your order email with your ceiling height, wall width and what sits below the shelf. We confirm the dimensions on your drawing before we cut.

Installation

Each post fixes to the ceiling, and each tier braces back to the wall with a brass arm. Fix the posts into ceiling joists or solid blocking, and the wall arms into studs or solid blocking, not drywall anchors alone. We recommend a professional installer.
