Three glass shelves held by slim rods of solid unlacquered brass, hung from the ceiling so the floor and wall stay clear. Made to order in our Marrakesh workshop, with the drop cut to your ceiling height.

Size guide

Step 1: Choose the width for what sits below. Pick a shelf a little narrower than the surface under it, so it reads as part of the room.

Step 2: Work out your drop. The drop is the distance from the ceiling to the bottom shelf.

Drop = ceiling height − height of the surface below − clearance

Example: an 8 ft ceiling (96 in) over a 36 in vanity gives 96 − 36 − 18 = 42 in of drop.

Step 3: Check that three tiers fit. Three shelves need room between them. If your drop comes out under 43 in, which is common over kitchen islands with 8 ft ceilings, send us your measurements before you order and we will advise on the spacing.

Over a vanity: the bottom shelf sits close to face height. Most clients hang it beside the mirror or in front of a window rather than across the mirror.

Reply to your order email with your ceiling height and what sits below the shelf. We confirm the drop on your drawing before we cut.

Installation

The shelf hangs from the ceiling, so it must be fixed into ceiling joists or solid wood blocking, not drywall anchors alone. We recommend a professional installer.
